Tom Tauke represented Iowa's 2nd district in the House from 1979 to 1991. During his tenure, he served on the House Energy and Commerce, Education and Labor, Small Business, and Aging Committees. Prior to his time in Congress, he served in the Iowa General Assembly from 1975 to 1979. He is currently the executive vice president for Public Affairs, Policy, and Communications at Verizon.
